RBM and Jolly Trolley Tours Gear Up

Locals and visitors are invited to step on to the Jolly Trolley bus and step back in time as The Rehoboth Beach Museum hosts guided history tours of the city. Tours last approximately 50 minutes and include a welcome from the Reverend Todd, founder of the Rehoboth Camp Meeting Association, and a lady parishioner at the historic Anna Hazzard Tent House.

All Trolley tours start and end at the Anna Hazzard Museum at 17 Christian Street. Tours begin at 9 a.m. The cost of the tour is $10, cash only, which includes entrance to the Anna Hazzard House and the Rehoboth Beach Museum. Reservations are required.

Tours will run on the following dates: June 28, August 16, August 30, September 13, September 27, October 11, and back-to-back tours on October 26 at 9a.m. and 11 a.m. For reservations and information about this and other programs, such as walking tours, call the museum at 302-227-7310. While the museum is closed you may leave your name and telephone number on the answering machine.

Visitors and locals will experience first-hand the history of Rehoboth Beach such as the birth of the town as a Methodist Camp Meeting site and its growth as a resort town. Learn about shipwrecks, submarines, storms and sand dunes.

The Jolly Trolley began in 1970 when a group of locals wanted to have a means of transportation that would let visitors get a feel for the sights and sounds of Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach.
